Ode to Your Memory

these wounds,

they cry for you.

life is draining

and I'm straining,

but I know I'll see you soon.

I will not

fight our fate.

come back for me,

but as you see,

you are too late.

this love

is unrequited.

spiraling down,

hitting the ground.

are you still undecided?

and now I

have died for you,

and you can't save me.

who could blame me?

what else was I to do?

goodbye,

my faithful friend,

and once I slip away,

pull me close to you and say

this is the end.
