Wish of Dreams

Aiswarya Girish

The little girl always dreamed of the moon;
She admired him through her window.
The owls’ hoots never scared her —
She was too busy dreaming.

She counted every single day
Just to see him full and glowing.
And one night, he came —
Magnificent, shining, beautiful.

Her tiny eyes began to sparkle,
And with all her heart,
She made her wish —
A wish of dreams.
