Soft sun , wishing

Caring dove

Notice of absence from Caring dove
It seems you have no interest in unblocking me being honest being truthful .. so , take care

Here is the soft sun sitting in the blue

sitting in a circle , sometimes comfortable

tho she has no ladder to allow her to walk away to the grass

and rest , if she wishes

by the friendly flowers

just there , floating

a soft stable strong light

used to the yellow hue

used to the blues

even the sometimes grey clouds

But sometimes there’s a wish for feet to be found

for a ladder to help her Walk  to the grass

still the sun

yet different somehow

the soft sun with feet

the soft sun with a ladder

allowing her to move away if she wishes

to touch the grass

that she always sees

but never feels

to rest by flowers that live below her

maybe the sun is soft , steady , strong even

but tired sometimes

a light for the sky

for the world

light for others

with a sometimes a wish to rest in a different place

because even the sun gets tediously tired sometimes

wishing for feet

wishing for a light ladder

so she can touch the green

A metaphor for those that give but are unable to feel the gifts they bestow on others. Most lovely

Thanks for the kind words .. I think even the sun might get tired and wish to be in a different place sometimes . I guess we can all have wishes etc but we don’t always feel able to reach them .. and I guess the sun can’t be on the grass .. without the ability to move there

      Thankyou ))

You are the most welcome with this sense of animism a most interesting thought

My dear friend, this is like a tender fable for burnout…how even something as steadfast as the sun might long to step away, to trade constancy for a moment of grounded rest. The “ladder” image works beautifully as a bridge between the unreachable and the touchable, the sky’s work and the earth’s quiet. Gentle, wistful, and relatable in that way that sneaks up on you. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛ A fave!

Poor sun. Although I can relate, perhaps the sun is also suffering from overexploitation. Beautiful writing and development. I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

Thankyou very much )) I think maybe sometimes we can feel almost stuck in one place .. wishing to move / be elsewhere but we can’t or feel unable to . I guess we all want to reach other places / experiences sometimes..

Glad you enjoyed my poem and thanks for the kind words
