At times waiting patiently for the dark side
Other times the demons come instantly
They can’t be blamed or even explained
No way to say how they arrive so freely
Never asked to have them waiting inside
Coping and adapting to what life dealt
They were borne from different sources
No way of understanding what was felt
As situations develop and a need to act
Very much like any decision to solve
But never a choice of the conscious mind
Away from choosing the demons evolved
On one hand thinking, none on the other
Where does the mind make that division
Taking one step to solve one problem
Or no thought at all but act without decision
Both come from the same mind then branch
Lessons learned in life to clear a tangled mind
One a clear path, the other no answer found
An attempt in each way, but different kinds
No reason to attempt to justify any action
Whether chosen or not it’s still yours to own
What part belongs to the demons of living
For you and the world never to be known

Deeply philosophical this poem undertakes to speak of blame and decision making. Logical and well worded it provokes thought written with good form and rhyme
Thank you for you clear observation. You seem to understand the place described here.
You are most welcome
A sense of someone struggle to come to terms or maybe understand decisions that have been made as they have seen the consequences of those decisions. Also a sense of questioning who is to blame, some inner thought battles going on, nicely expressed and written
