Earned

Keeter C

The things I deserve and those naught.

Should I cast to the curb that not deserved?

Or cling to the moments I should have long ago sought?

This world strange hard lessons taught.

Twenty three  years some dismiss without thought.

Bitter is our reaction born in nature.

I seek to recapture part of myself lest it be lost.

Wondering if it’s my free will that determines my future.
