Lust & Love

Sassy Lou

Lust comes tapping at my collocation

While love just decamps

Lust keeps me yearning for more & more

Lust seems to stay

Lust chases me down the darkest alleys

Til there is no where to turn

Lust writhes beneath my vitiated sheets

Lust leaves me forsaken

Love decamps me incessantly

Lust meets me in lieu

If it should be lust, must love blaze?

Then I long that I was n perished

Lust & love are far from confidants

Though they may seem to be the same

For lust mistakes the means for ends

Lust takes loves name

But love endures, love is tender

Love is never coarse

Love to lust is not averse

And love does not evade

Love never fails, love always trusts

Before love, lust must cease,

For love overcomes a million lusts

Love sows the seeds of peace

Yet, lust will leave us in the end
