In the call of silent voices .
Bound by evil and envy .
''Come to me brother devil ! ''
Suspended memory ,
between flesh and ether .
Multiple choices
on the bitter chessboard ...
Dead white king ,
princess offered to the wind .
Lewis won't find Alice !
Life turned over a card
marked with the queen of spades...
In the realm of distractions ,
shadows feasting and singing
on the laid bare tombs !
Sword suspended
by a thread of light .
Ultimate lottery ...
Sycophants laugh and mock
the poor huntchback
who spins like a grotesque
moon face ...
Carried away by the river's lie ,
pass the body
of the beautiful lady .
Her hand clinched a purple poppy .
Beauty are you this decay of eternity ?
Sunlight in the flickering reflection
of twilight water ?
Last confession of this quest of desire
before the engulfment ?
Human condition awakening
in the muddled bed of life
like a mad night animal .
Do you see in the grimace
of your mirror ,
this breath engraved
in letters of mud :
'' Suffering ! ''

A poem with several references to literature and the feel of falling down the rabbit hole. A new land with different rules surrealistic
A reference to the pre-raphaelite movement which already foreshadows the modern neo-Gothic style .
Surrealist, gothic , mystic
The poem has literary allusions with existantial dread.
It has dark imagery .. like coleridge and Elliot
Nice , a fave !
Human condition between fate and mirror's game !
It is a plunge into the darkness of the human soul. Literary and cultural images are turned into symbols of loss and illusion. This way of connecting the world of myth and fairy tale with the cruelty of reality makes your text deeply eloquent. So powerful and evocative.
The mocked Quasimodo stands up proudly !
And proclaims : '' People above look at me I am the prophet ! "
