Happy Satudays

Damaso

Notice of absence from Damaso
I miss you friends

The radiant sun bathes the entire facade on that front
one happy Saturday morning
the rhythm of the sidewalk stretches
he rubs his eyes slowly
one fine day he yawns, swishing his broom
a turkey comes whistling
her general's rank marked with soot
the shrill radio saturates the saramuya
a sapucai is a whinny of life
a single chair and above the Virgin
the pichicho looks at the sun halfway
and settles on its paws
at the window, a coin plant watches
evaporates the dew of the envious
a comb of wavy gray hair
accompanies his forehead, weathered by river furrows
his eyebrows that arch when he sees you arrive
an eternal smile that speaks shouting
dishes you,
names you,
and celebrates you
I see your face and I see myself
you see my face,
and you see yourself.

Exotic for me but at the same time it feels familiar. A most lovely write

Well, I'm glad you liked it. This time, the vision uses many regional references, but it could also be found anywhere in the world. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your words of encouragement. Best regards.

A very loving write to loved member of the family who has passed, we forget sometimes when looking at older people, we are looking at our futures, enjoyed the read

Thank you so much for your words of understanding. Today I came simply to vent this deep pain and long for a sense of identity, to reach a place where I am always welcome. "I sing to myself and celebrate myself, I celebrate myself and sing to myself, and if I sing to myself and celebrate myself, I celebrate you and sing to you, because every atom that belongs to me belongs to you, because every atom that belongs to you belongs to me, because you and I are one and the same." Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words of encouragement. Best regards.

Wow, well, that was the attempt. Or maybe I miss that place so much that I'm forced to describe it in such detail and with such nostalgia. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and leave your words of encouragement. Best regards.
