Vlad (My Idol, My Friend).

Hey Vlad, it is so good to catch up with you again.

It has been a long time since I saw you my old friend.

It is good of you to do this show for the world television.

Then after you can return to your invasion and killing.

Isn't Alaska something the Russians used to own.

I hope you're not planning to take that one back home.

Let's not give the watching media a reason to complain.

So, i guess really, we should at least mention Ukraine.

I know Vlad that you are an honest and trustworthy man.

And I feel we can have much success with your plan.

I will tell Zelensky on Monday if he wants the war end.

He will need to give some of his land back to you again.

I wonder if the Native Americans rose up to reclaim their land.

Would they get a warm welcome, smile, laugh then

Shaking of the hands.

The introduction of historical land conflict and the bizarre introduction of present day justification, if that word even makes sense, gets a fave. Cleverly woven in it made me laugh and at this time of the morning not an easy task. Good one Tobani

I think Vlad the mad has maybe played his last ace.
In saying that, Starmer is Heading out to America, good time for Vlad to attack Britain with a broom and clean us up.

        • Poetic Licence

Hopefully with a different type of broom, thank you for your comment, very much appreciated

What a world in which we do live. Your satire is most welcome glad to know it's not just me who believes this whole theatre is absurd ๐Ÿ˜ข

Well written, the poet discusses geopolitical tensions, particularly relating to Russia's actions in Ukraine and historical claims to land. It also touches on themes of friendship, trust, and the irony of discussing peace while acknowledging ongoing conflict and aggression.

Perhaps a reason why poets arenโ€™t quite welcome in their time, one of many!

Sorry I'm not quite with it but I don't really understand this, enjoy your day

You tell him Tobani . I think all the leaders should get together and have a game of 'Twister' to settle their differences.
                          Enjoyable Read.

That last verse is so telling Tobani.

This is sharp satire, Tobani and I love it, my friend. I love that it is calling out the absurdities and hypocrisies in plain, unflinching language. The irony is deep, and that closing Native American turn hits hard. Well done, my friend. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
