If meant to be

wildecho14

We let go with trembling hands,
two hearts walking in separate lands.
No blame, no fire, no bitter word,
only silence,soft, unheard.

he whispered a prayer into the night:
“God, if love is true, make it right.
If this soul was meant for mine,
lead us back in Your own time.”

He prayed, though she never knew,
that broken paths might bend anew.
Two voices rose, apart, the same,
each carrying the other’s name.

But she never told him what she wrote,
in ink that trembled, line by note.
her journal holds the secret still:
she loves him now and always will.

“If destiny turns, if heaven allows,
let our hearts meet again somehow.
And if not now, then let it be,
in another time meant for you and me.”

I enjoyed this write of a true love kept secret and the chance not taking, as the write indicates if it was meant to be, the chance will come again, lovely write
