I can feel your pulse
synchronized with mine...
I'd remember those eyes
from anywhere.
if fear is the heart of love,
you are most terrifying...
your warmth spreads through me.
marble into skin.

This poem presents uncommon parings in metaphor that require a bit of thought. The serial presentation of sequential metaphors give them more sense and present love in a most uncommon manner. Nicely done

Wow! That line โif fear is the heart of love, you are most terrifyingโ really struck me. Love as awe and tremor...captured perfectly, imho. Strong writing, Hayleigh. ๐น๐ค๐๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฆ๐ฆโโฌ
