I hoped to find my peace in you,
But now I'm weary.
Each tears I shed pulls down my hope,
Save me, save my tears.
I checked on you like a mother would,
But, "I am not your wife," you said.
My good are like trouble in you,
Now I feel empty.
But still, I whisper through the ache,
A silent prayer for my own sake.
If you won't reach to hold me still,
Then save me, save my tears.

I hear distance in a relationship in this poem and a desire for clarification and taking one side of the other. Nicely done
