Wondering about death sometimes
And when so doing
Wondering if one will be brave
Like soldiers in their foxholes
At Peleliu
Or wives and husbands of 9/11
Texting home their last goodbyes
I think
If they could do it
So can I

Death something that all have to face sooner of latter the difference is how we do it, with fear or calm or do we welcome it. A most interesting write.
When it's over, it's over....in the meantime... absolutely no point in worrying...
I did enjoy the question though and the way it was.......
I only hope it is peaceful and not painful.
It's surely good that we will never know our final hour or whether or not it be swift and peaceful. Many years ago I was in a play with a memorable line that I still remember "Age is an awesome thing - It is the one true mirror that reflects the vanity of youth"
Be grateful for each day and enjoy it to the full despite the limitations of getting older.
I enjoyed your poem Lorna - lots of food for thought! Go well
Death is a Monday morning, boarding the death train with all the other dead passengers.
Hopefully you'll be around for a long time.
Wow. How strange to read this at this time in my life, let alone the very deep beautiful song you chose.
Thank you
Truly hope you're OK
See you on the other side....
Some day!
