Angered moments - Watching steps

Maplespal

I have been told to watch my step before,
shook my head and it was something I ignored.
Mocked the speaker like I'm a robot walking,
looking down I was zoning out the talking,
bee bop bee bopping sounds I was making,
this attitude it seemed he wasn't taking.
The threat to end my worthless life came,
asked if I thought life was just a game.
Rolled my eyes and laughed out loud,
asked him if his ego's for the crowd.
Welcoming him into my personal site,
grabbed him by the throat real tight,
leaned in and whispered in his ear,
let go, stepped back and he ran away in fear.
Yeah, I have been told to watch my step before.
Since then my steps, the people ignore.
I walk freely.

Standing up to a threat often is sufficient. A good read
