Crash

Melanie Rodriguez

I hear a thud the sound of my knees hitting the ground. Electrifying pulses surge through my body, palms fold into fists laid softly along the knees. Deep breaths inhaling deeply the sorrow, exhaling the pain. Hurting from the memory i become angry, steadily growing to understand I am only human. I won't lose my sight not staying in the dark, begin to see the light. Finding in life I'll be allright, staying strong must fight I'll make it through another night.

I hear anxiety in this poetic work. It calls out of the darkness then says I'll be alright. Well done
