Innocence taken
Who could know
But a perfect
Perhaps pure
Agnus Dei
White and clean
Like a child
But more perfect
Clean sheets
Out of a dryer
Brand new
Snow in the morning
Agnus Dei
My cross to bear
Becomes yours
Of an animal
That deserved it no more than I

This poem speaks of sacrifice, an offering of innocence that may have deep implications. Nicely written
Thank you very much for reading
You are most welcome
This is deep. Maybe one day we can stop carrying this cross. Does it count if our innocence is taken against our will....
Yes…it’s precisely that in which I’m alluding to
