Agnus Dei

NinjaGirl

Innocence taken

Who could know

But a perfect

Perhaps pure

Agnus Dei

White and clean

Like a child

But more perfect

Clean sheets

Out of a dryer

Brand new

Snow in the morning

Agnus Dei

My cross to bear

Becomes yours

Of an animal

That deserved it no more than I

This poem speaks of sacrifice, an offering of innocence that may have deep implications. Nicely written
