Sometimes I hate poetry .
Her serpentine desired embrace.
I would like to tell her :
'' Run away ! And leave my life
free of your presence ! '
Your face, that of seductress ,
an actress , childlike siren ,
ghostly Marylin ,
whom I believe to be fragile ...
Demanding mistress ,
who becomes imploring
and distressed ...imposture !
You know how to drive me
to distraction ...
But so often, I am alone
in my nights .
I wonder about your betrayals .
You inhabit so many other skins
and minds in love ,inspiring...
You are Lola the scandalous,
I am Oscar the decadent .
I will search for my words
in Dalilah's opulent hair ,
offering my throat to the dagger ...
Poetry bringing death
to men who desire her ....
I would like to confine you ,
pale and livid Victorian creature
in interior without light
where you will be part of my hell .
But I am just this fool
who always succumbs
at your succubus charms ...
'' Poetry returns in my body ! ''
Subject I am
to your every whim ...

A very powerful allusion to poetry as a fatal woman. She is not an abstract muse like in the works of the ancient poets - she is a fateful lover. In her image intertwine seduction, danger, and the inevitability of destiny. Brilliantly written!
Poetry is ecstatic servitude and creative tragedy .But perhaps the same is true of painting ,music or dance ?
Brilliant metaphor for a fatal woman.
Nicely done !
Thanks Priya .You know I am a kind of fatal poet !
You are most welcome !
A muse, a demon, an affliction, she is all those things. We use her to spread our own wrath and desire and she eagerly obliges! Excellent write!
