They all come back

Diana .

They all come back, come back like nothing happened.

Like it’s not them who owes me an apology.

They come back like heroes who should be praised,

As if it’s not me, scarred across my body.

They all come back, as if it wasn’t them who caged me,

Made me see them flying, leaving my youth behind,

As if it wasn’t them who painted rust on me,

Because they didn’t want to see how bright I could shine.

They all come back, as if I was nothing but a joke.

They forget how they left me,but I never did.

They closed the door, thinking I would knock,

But here’s the surprise: I’ve locked it.

People that pretend nothing happened returning over and over while memories of the pain remains. Now as they return the door is locked. Nicely written
