Beyond necessity

Nicole Pritchard

Being needed and being wanted, two feelings so grand

Yet, they're different, like shifting sand

Needed, you're a lifeline, a guiding light

A helping hand in a moment's plight

But being wanted, that's a different tale

A choice, a desire, a love that prevails

It's knowing you're chosen, not just a need

A feeling that warms the heart, indeed

When someone needs you, it's a moment in time

A requirement, a necessity that's divine

But when someone wants you, it's a love so true

A desire that comes from the heart, shining through

Being wanted feels like a warm, gentle breeze

A sense of belonging, a love that brings ease

It's knowing you're valued, cherished, and adored

Not just needed, but wanted, forevermore
