For Love of Trust

Aurora

Trust, I didn’t know your true meaning, living a life faint-hearted
You were like a statue I put in the corner, nearly discarded

I went through life taking trust for granted
When all along you illuminated my path to Divine, my truth, my safety net, my future enchanted

I built walls between trust and loved ones
Cheated myself out of authentic loving outcomes

I cast trust aside to fear disappointment
Wasted joys now surrendered to unabandoned wonderment

I gained a false sense of control by trusting lack
Learned to overcompensate rather than celebrating abundance that gives back

I overlooked trust to solely rely on myself, weighted down by toil, doubts and limitations
All the while could have been resting on heaven’s safe fluffy-cloud creations

I thought trust as reckless, failing my dreams
Masking wins, miracles, and magic that you fueled all along it seems

I distrusted my abilities, gifts and talents from above
Fooling me until recognized and celebrated with love

I ran from trusting my true love destiny
Delayed blessings that only you as my teacher storied so credibly

My delusions clouded where trust truly fit
Now know your omnipresence, power and comforts will never quit

Trust is a foundation stone for whatever we wish to accomplish or our beliefs as well. Nicely written

Thank you. Writing poetry has been cathartic during an intense spiritual awakening journey.
