Bird In Red

I closed my eyes as I laid my head on your shoulder.

The curve of your neck has always been perfect for me.

I tried, but I couldn't hold my tears any longer,

I knew it was the last time, but you couldn't see.

You thought I was falling asleep,

While I slowly drifted away.

I saw a black hole, terrifyingly deep,

When drugs took my life from me.

A raw and hard look at self inflicted death. Hard and cold. Well written

This is so beautiful, heartbreaking and wrenching but unbelievably lovely
