What would you like to be:
A pen
To write your story
Before the ink dries
And / Or
A pencil
That can rewrite
The story of your life
Choose well :
For you may not get another chance
So while you can walk, why not also dance ?
We sometimes stay away
From family to pursue dreams
While some sacrifice dreams
To stay with their own
And then feel sorry
For chances they have blown..
So make a decision
That won’t wound you like a knife
And you need not repent
But stay contented with your life

I like the idea of choice for life is always a choice that often we blame on others or circumstances. A very nice write about taking responsibility for what we do. Nicely written
sometimes we are the victim of circumstances, and sometimes we sacrifice our dreams so that someone else can fulfil theirs..
i feel we should look after ourselves too, and try to realize our dreams
So true but for some their dream is to be the wind beneath another's wings.
Good write, Nafisa. Enjoyed the read.
thanks - glad it resonated with you
have a good day
The crucial, fundamental choice: stay with family or go.
Let's hope both societal norms and economic conditions make that choice a real one...
Question well posed.
sorry for the late response -
yes it's a crucial choice, and we often tend to make the mistake of putting others before self all the time; and that may lead to resentment and frustration
so choice is in our hands - whom and what to put first
That, in various forms is everywhere.
A fine, thought-provoking poem. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for the feedback..glad you liked it
what an outcome that would be .. its always best to have a few options open and to choose carefully after an appropriate period of consideration and reflection .. enjoyed muchly safina .. neville
Thanks for the response 💐🙏🏼
We always tend to play the martyr and sacrifice for the sake of the family who will keep demanding more and more. So this is a call to look after self so that you have more to give others ✌️👍
Choice leads us in so many different directions, it's the story of our lives. You say this so beautifully in thought provoking verse of contemplation. Expuisite!
