The lover wave

Lorenz

Off the reefs of a tormented memory

whose algae dies on the beach of time.

There is this island made of black sand

and  broken scales of fish ...

Haunted by the ghosts of past

born of inner anger .

It's not a heaven of peace

but a tragedy for the refugee,

and the castaway never returns...

Sometimes a few fresh corpses

with faces of hope

in search of remission ,

come crashing ashore ...

  I recognize you .

But what's the point of contemplating

my madness torn apart by coral hearts ?

 My message in a bottle

will not land anywhere .

A squalid shark  will have swallowed it

somewhere along The Cape of misfortune...

You will never know the last lie

I sent you from the lost island .

Child of the dark banks ,

refusing to accept the reason

of continents ...

 Wherever my fears take me

I see only rebellion of the ocean ,

dominated by a sleeping sentry .

what has become of you legendary captains ?

And you, mermaids who wander through

the rainy streets of Amsterdam ?

  All  trivial parlor trinkets

  who drink to forget ...

I watch over the old blind lighthouse

which no longer invites to put into port .

  Between water and fire

that struggle and merge in my soul .

 Here I stand,facing the dark horizon .

   Awaiting for your spectral arrival.

 You come towards me ,

   lover wave ,

stretching out your arms

burning in salt of possession .

 Senses, violent intoxication.

Is love only this flesh of annihilation ?

So many metaphors of the inner self in this poem Lovez. A lovely write with deep mysteries within it. A lot of symbolism here. Very nice

Thanks Soren ! My usual killer romanticism in poetry !

In this poem, the sea conveys a sense of boundlessness, weight, and depth. It becomes the symbol of all memory and all love - infinite and all-consuming. It is at once a scar, a solace, and a sentence. The sea both devours and preserves, turning love into a fateful current where there is no escape, except to surrender to the final wave. A beautiful work!

Scar ,solace and sentence ! What an Eurythmical dimension !
