Unhiding

Aurora

Once looking out from lighted shadows of safety
Now unhiding burdens no longer weighty

Once witnessing past mirrors reflecting wobbly boundaries
Now unhiding true strength within my dreams

Once remembering echoes of unbalanced validation patterns
Now unhiding freedoms, joys, and unbridled passions as it happens

Once settling for worthiness that has been idle
Now unhiding strengths to embody my healthiest cycle

Once staying small to comfort others
Now unhiding passions to confidently face lovers

Once untrusting myself and others to protect and shield
Now unhiding inner doubt, truth, and confidence healed

Once pitying blessings that evaded
Now embracing miracles fueling dreams celebrated

Once disconnecting from love to mask heartbreak
Now unhiding to consciously heal heartache

Once escaping traumas by neglecting needs
Now unhiding by sowing healthy seeds

I really like the structure of this poem: the repetition or "once" vs "now" is super powerful. This is a beautiful poem of strength, to which I applaud!
