Laughter

Bird In Red

My tears run races down my cheeks,

There's a stone on my lungs so I cannot breathe.

My legs feel heavy like they were made of metal,

My soul dried like a fallen rose petal.

And suddenly it's funny for me that I'm crying.

I laugh out loud when I feel like dying.

And it's not that I run or hide,

There's just a difference between a smile and a smile

"I can't take it anymore," I say as I laugh.

Though myself I know, no day has been as bad.

Not gonna lie, it's the way that I cope,

So I laugh when I say: "Death is my only hope."

Emotions swinging from extreme to extreme and as the pendulum swings from side to side reflections of death as an out. Well written

This is a very interesting but emotional poem. The irony shows when laughing in a sad situation. Love your poetic skills.
