naivety, or, an idealist

MatPie

I like to think

ive done something for today

cook eggs or read a page

of a book ive been wanting to read

I like to think

ive become a better person

for today and tomorrow

growth comes and goes

I like to think

I was not born to suffer

or at the edge of a precipice

contemplating about my regrets

I like to think

everything means to me

like the raindrops resting on my window

or the cars honking in the distance

I like to think

the sun and moon is out there

to take care of one another

eclipse as a valentines day

I think I was made to love

naively, if you can say

I like to think, tirelessly,

everybody does too.

An existential poem of need for meaning for progress and development. Nicely worded in most poetic form
