Daddy wasn't always daddy that's something you should know, theres parts of my life your mom's home videos didnt show.
I lost a piece of myself when you were born, a piece I never really knew was there.A piece I feel every time you call me ""Dad", like it's a crown I didn't know I was worthy to wear.
I've watched as a litle girl who could never be broken, so hard headed, so defiant. Grow into this beautiful young women, a warrior, who's voice won't be silenced.
You've got a beautiful mind that matches your heart when you show it, but above all grit and grace. With the kind of faith that holds steady, even when your world begins to shake.
So don't judge too quickly, I know I worry, I know you could probably make it all on your own.
But no matter what the mirror says you'll always be the little girl, god gave me 16yrs ago.
