Notice of absence from NinjaGirl
Hi everyone! I have been gone for a while, I donβt know if any of you all have noticed, but I apologize for not leaving a notice anyway. I will be gone for a while. I am not done writing poetry, and I have not given up. But I will be away for some time. I expect to return around 2028. Not sure if any of you guys will see this, but thank you for reading my poetry. Please do not worry, I will be okay! I look forward to returning!

Kindergarten
Handprints on the wall
"My first day of school"
Gradeschool
Handprints on a tree
A friendship marked
Middle School
Handprints on me
Ones that won't wash off.
High School
Fingerprints reminded me of art
Handprints reminded me of pain
Now
My own prints are diminished
Because of the hands of others.

A very clever use of metaphor here sadly all too real. Very nicely worded it bleeds its message. A fave
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like the metaphor!
You are most welcome
Powerful piece, π₯·. You turned something simple into a timeline of memory and harm. Strong, unflinching writing. As your work is...and I love it! A fave, my dear friend. πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
