A silence speaks volumes

Nicole Pritchard

If I don't reach out, we're lost in space

No words, no whispers, an empty place

If i stop trying, our bond will fade

Leaving nothing but silence, a heart betrayed

When I do reach out, it's to fill your needs

Your voice is heard, your wants proceed

But mine are forgotten, left unspoken

A one-sided love, my heart broken

It's not about being busy or forgot

It's about the effort, or lack thereof

When someone truly wants you, they'll make time

No begging needed, love will forever shine

I've realized you're not fighting for us

No effort made, just a distant hush

When love's real, you'll chase the moments shared

Not to leave me to wonder, left unspared

A sad plea of a one sided love and left behind. Nicely worded with good rhyme and flow. Very nice
