"I Let It Go" "छोड़ दी मैंने"

Navjot Singh Nagra

I waited for your knocking hand, but not anymore,
the road that led into your town - I closed that door.

The river once was simple for my boat to cross,
I broke my guiding oar myself, and bore the loss.

No soul remains to hear the weight my words bestow,
I wrapped myself in silence deep, and let it grow.

Within your hall, I found no space where I could stay,
no grief in leaving such a crowd, I walked away.

No reason came to ease the pain of what I know,
the jug that held my wine of love - I let it go.

Since parting, "Navjot" learned what shadows never show,
even my own reflection’s trace - I let it go.

This poem reminds me Arijit Singh's song
" chhod diya woh rasta , jis raste se tum the guzre....
    Well woven !

The Buddha said that the key to nirvana is letting go of all desire. Letting go of love is the hardest of all. A powerful poem of sacrifice. Lovely
