Lost paper thoughts

sorenbarrett

Poems lost such a terrible cost to all humanity
Life's images gone with death's yawn, forgotten calamity
Generation's imagination burnt conflagration in crashes
Smoke and ash considered trash, memory's assassination in ashes

So deeply felt, when I left London I left many photos and special things in a box, at my mother's house, after she passed away they were thrown in the bin, also stuff from my study years that was incredibly special. A wonderful theme and therapy today. 🌹 🤣

Thank you Thoughtless how many poems lost that were never written and those written that have been discarded pieces of a person and human history. I appreciate your read and comment

A short poem, yet powerful words, my friend. Your poem "Lost paper thoughts" examines the catastrophic loss of creativity and human expression through the metaphor of forgotten poems and memories, underscoring how death and destruction can eradicate the imaginative contributions of generations, thereby emphasizing the fragility of human thought and the permanence of loss. It highlights the importance of preserving human thought and creativity, accentuating the fragile nature of memory and the impact of loss on future generations, and advocates for an awareness of the value of art and expression in the face of mortality and destruction.

Thank you Friendship for your review and interpretation of this piece. It occurred to me how much is lost in destruction deliberate or that just discarded as well as in the passing of time. There are those preserved but never read rotting on a shelf or even in the mind of one that dies. Your words are most appreciated my friend.

Soren, this lands heavy—the idea of memory’s assassination by fire is devastating. Each line feels like ash still smoldering. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛ Very well done, my friend!
