walking down the busy street
sucking on a lollipop
smiling at strangers
for no reason at all
time is never an enemy
we're all children destined
to expand our senses
with time & growing old
wrinkles to appreciate beauty
& the slowness of each second
sweetened by the wind
sculpted by our desire to live
& the desire to end it all
still, we're all children
I wanna dance to the tune
playing on the radio
putting off my shoes off the road
let my feet feel the naked grass
add another hour to the day
to look at a sunflower
in a pretty flower shop
look at the back of a CD
let me dance in front of people
without a care in the world
& eat a waffle afterwards
with an uncombed hair
with mismatched shoes & socks
I'd follow the wind
to flow my hair towards the sky
naked beauty is everywhere
