Do You remember

Priya Tomar

Do you remember...

under the mango tree

We built our paradise

In those few hours

Lived for many centuries.

Do you remember...

In that pink garden

The breeze kissed my locks

You burned with jealousy

Of that silky warmth.

Do you remember...

we named our teddies

Wish of crying mirror of you

And you whispered a little

image of my fair face.

Do you remember...

Beautiful wings of promises

Broken in wild cyclone

From my heart's island

Bleaching corals of love.

Do you know...

you went so far , isn't it?

 you settled deep in me.

This is heartfelt, Priya…the mango tree, the garden, the cyclone, all bound by the ache of someone who settled too deep to leave. Beautiful and sorrowful. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
