The Language of Healing.

G.Cabús

A single word can travel deeper than silence,

slipping into the cracks we thought would never mend.

It lingers, soft as a hand upon the shoulder,

reminding us that we were never meant to carry every wound alone.

And sometimes, in the bleakest season,

when the soil feels frozen,

a simple sentence falls like rain.

Not loud, not dramatic—

just enough to stir the seed hidden within,

just enough to whisper, grow.

We speak.

We listen.

We connect.

And in that delicate space between voices,

meaning reveals itself—

not as an answer carved in stone,

but as a light we share,

a quiet proof that every soul longs to be heard and every heart has something to give.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem was born from a simple truth I’ve witnessed in life: that words, though small, can carry immense healing. Sometimes it isn’t the grand speeches that change us, but a single word, a sentence spoken at the right moment, that breathes hope back into our lives. I wanted to honor the power of human connection—the way we speak, listen, and share meaning—and how even the quietest exchange can remind us we are not alone.

Words have power for good or ill and they can heal. Lovely

Thank you for your kind words. I believe words carry a quiet power—sometimes enough to wound, but also enough to heal. I’m grateful this piece resonated with you.

Indeed, only a human can complete another human. Billions of people in this world, but so much loneliness...

        • G.Cabús

Your reflection touched me. Yes, in a world so vast, loneliness is still a shadow many carry. And yet, it’s often in connection—one word, one gesture—that we remind each other we’re not alone. Thank you for sharing this thought.
