mirage

nikola

In the mid summer,

with sun gone above,

wading through the fog,

I saw a man, so close, yet far,

obscure,

like a mirage, unreachable,

so wanted, finally found.

His presence left me drifting away

Into a world I’d never known,

So peaceful, my new home.

Unseen but beautiful,

New chapter unfolds it self.

Met by a chance but felt like a fate

Never since had a thing felt wrong.

This seems to me a metaphor for an existential search for self that when found gives a sense of peace. Lovely
