Will I Ever Be Free?

C.M

It is not me,

But we share the same body.

It is not me—

My mind is my enemy.

Tedious routines,

Playing on repeat;

Like a restless stream,

No one can intervene.

Again and again,

It says…

Again and again,

It’s relentless.

When will I be free

Of thoughts not my own?

Two identities,

Warring for the throne.

My mind is my enemy;

And still… it’s a part of me.

        Oh how I feel your pain. You have read my mind. It is most frustrating.
        Let me know if you find something that helps. Kind regards, Katie

          It's comforting to know someone understands the frustration. I do hope we get through this
