SECRET ROOMS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Your secrets
Locked deep inside
Where no angels venture
No poets hide
Deep and dark
Like your eyes
As cruel as
Your lying smile.

Hidden rooms
In memory stays
Cigarette in hand
The wine glass sways
Careful not to
Miss a drop
Superior tone
A voice to stop.

Arrogance
A dreadful trait
Snobbery with
A wishful gaze
So many men used
As if living tools
But life and time
Make you the fool.

Arrogance well painted in this poem with great rhyme and flow it carries the reader onward to its inevitable end. Nicely done
