Don’t let her leave

William Hromada

Dear God, in this quiet dawn, I whisper through trembling lips, Hold her close, don't let her drift away. Bind our souls with threads of love so true, let her eyes stay locked on mine, her hand in yours and mine too. Keep her laughter here, her warmth near, shield us from goodbyes we fear. If fate pulls, let your grace intervene, make our forever more than a dream.

This poem a prayer and plea to God to keep someone and allow them to ever stay near. To preserve a life. Beautifully worded with rhyme and nice flow.
