Men Like You

Morgue

The glass shattered at her feet
Due to you unable to leave
The ever so quiet she needs
You can't let her have peace

A man like you begs
You barter for what you think you need
It's undeserved recognition
You shouldn't even get a peek

See men like you are hungry for teeth
The ones that sink into places we don't need
The wounds you seep into like herbal tea
Men like you disgust me

Your actions are volatile
Everything's planned, like it's methodical
Your hands lay rest on bodies not bondable
We make it clear we aren't adoptable

I'm not your dog, but I get violent
I'll show you what skin looks like in violet
See the world through my eyelet
You'll stay the passenger, endangered as I'm the pilot

Men like you think it's right to lay hands
Begging for bodies you can't begin to comprehend
I'll make it know that you can bend
Break into what you made me, I know you can bend

Men like you deserve nothing, the end.

A poem that drips with resentment, it sparks with anger barely containing rage. It speaks out telling the world where it stands. Strongly written it is powerful and leaves little doubt. Nicely done
