did plans become chains  

 

our laughter traded  

for alarms and calendars  

 

since when  

did we fear the unknown  

 

more than  

we feared regret  

 

adventure knocked  

a thousand times  

 

but routine whispered  

stay safe stay still  

 

and we  

answered to it  

 

i too  

have closed doors  

 

i too  

have said maybe later  

 

but later comes  

with empty hands  

 

so today  

i open wide
