Otherness

boot

Ahh...it wasn't what I thought it was
Wasn't...what it seemed
I thought.. I saw beyond the pale
Perhaps..perceived

A dream

Snuggled.. in a shadow's crook..
A secret branch of tree
I thought.. I caught..
A glimpse of other

My wishes..not to be

Perhaps..my eyes are not so seeing
I know I felt a...thought
Minds.. can sense..
What common sense ..denies

It's how we're taught

Structured teachings..limit reaching
One only goes so far
Those.. upon the other side
Want to be..want us to see

We limit us...we bar

All else

James, this piece hums with an otherworldly ache. The dreamlike drift, the bite of “limit reaching,” and that familiar yearning for more than what’s permitted...it’s all here. Beautifully haunted and powerfully rendered. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
