A Rose To The Lonely

mtrotter1

Purple flowers dancing in my head

Heaven is my lonely bed,

I am trapped in roses

I am filled with dread;

And this is exactly how I feel

Purple houses travel all over the world

No one gets the feeling on the outside

But on the inside everyone is drowning

I color outside the lines

For the most part,

A lot of people don't even know each other

For our loneliest selves is all we have

I have nobody to talk to

Yet God embraces me

I follow beyond the echoes of my mind

And I wear dark dresses

In dark spaces,

Lead me to the roses that remain!

And this is a rose to the lonely

For I am lonely too...

May you embrace this rose

And keep it close to your heart,

Sometimes I be so lonely

I dance within the flowers in my head,

Oh those purple flowers

They definitely mean something...

I want to be by myself forever.
