Hoozah Goodboy

Matthew R. Callies

Who's a good boy? Hoozah! it’s true,
A hero in fur, with a heart tried and true.
He answers the call with a bark and a grin,
A wagging tail says, “Come on, let’s begin!”

Through fields he dashes, through puddles he leaps,
Guardian of secrets and keeper of sleeps;
Every treat earned, every belly rub won,
Life is an endless parade of fun.

For when I whisper, “Who’s a good boy?”
He bursts with pride, pure canine joy.
No doubt, no pause, no trick, no ploy—
It’s always Hoozah. Hoozah Goodboy.

    A fun poem about man's best friend. Nicely written with good rhyme and flow. Well done
