DESTRUCTION

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

A gentle man
Forced to kill
In battles blood
Wars unholy din
Missile rifle
Bombs and blade
To take life
Politicians shame.

Mud and guts
Severed limbs
Broken skulls
Numbered hills
Bunkers trenches
Orders screeched
Letters home
Enemy breeched,

Such madness born
From mans deeper mind
Physcopathic
Hate and crime
Never ending
Centuries pass
Mankinds insanity
Upon destructions path.

This poem has some association with my tomorrow's post. It seems so true that man and ants are the war wagers on this planet. Most other animals kill only for food or survival. Nicely composed

That speaks deeply and illuminates the depths.
