A TALE OF BEAUTY AND HER BEAST

REBELLIOUS SOUL

She held a light within,
a glow that made the sun jealous.

He carried a storm in his chest,
thunder that shook the heavens.

She gave, he received,
yet in the taking, he was undone.

The darkness in the room was filled
with her love, her laughter, her kindness.
The stone castle now felt like home,
its walls did not protest,
but softened beneath her presence.

For a moment, he let her carry him,
lightning softening, storms growing still.
In her arms, ruin found silence,
and rage remembered how to kneel.

The beast whom even storms feared—
he knelt before her,
he knelt for love.

It was the happy ending she always dreamt of,
and the one he never knew he needed—
more than she did.
