FIRST STEPS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

My first steps
Will be lonely
Fearful and tight
When I leave
Upon my journey
When I leave this life.

I will miss you
Dearest family
But old men
Must make way
For new shoots to rise
New life come into play.

My tears are not unkind
I just miss you all today
When from darkness
I emerge
A spirit
You could say.

Try to love
One another
And when mistakes
Are made
Rectify them
As you can
For that will
Make my day.

Advice from age and words in one's passing to guide the young. Very nicely said in poetic form
