My first steps
Will be lonely
Fearful and tight
When I leave
Upon my journey
When I leave this life.
I will miss you
Dearest family
But old men
Must make way
For new shoots to rise
New life come into play.
My tears are not unkind
I just miss you all today
When from darkness
I emerge
A spirit
You could say.
Try to love
One another
And when mistakes
Are made
Rectify them
As you can
For that will
Make my day.
