Path of a Pilgrim

Kevin Michael Bloor

The path of a pilgrim I’ve travelled and trod,
alone on my journey T'wards home and my God.
And I’ve not grown weary, since Christ’s still the same:
my main motivation, my passion, my aim.

The way I have wandered, by Truth I was found.
The life I’ve been living by faith’s heaven-bound.
And I have not floundered nor shipwrecked on sand.
This rocky foundation is where I still stand.

The trail I’ve been blazing, where footprints I’ve made
will soon wash away like these lines I have laid.
But path of a pilgrim’s not paved all in gold,
and brothers of Jesus are born to be bold.

The road I am riding is nearing the end.
There’re not many miles up ahead round the bend.
Dark night is descending, where fire once burnt bright,
but though earth is fading I see heaven’s light!

A belief shines like a guiding light and shows the way on one's journey. May you reach your destination in peace and joy. A most lovely write of a pilgrimage and journey
