Trees

shadowbones

The trees to get you

But you're in my forest

The love shines through

Tangling branches

Entangled thoughts

Shelter from rain

He needed rest

She gave only hate

Ways of the world

Opened up his brain

To see truthful brutality

Once again though

Only one thing left

A reflective metaphor where one can't see the forest for the trees or maybe can't see the tree for the forest.

  • William Hromada

Hate hurts and shelter is needed!
