Ah, Michelangelo Buonarroti by Valery Zverev

Ksey_Gan

Ah, famous Michelangelo Buonarroti,
A toiling sculptor, an unimaginable genius.
A lucky victim at the papal curacy,
A poor novice, shining from the shadows

"Battle of the Centaurs," "Crucifixion," "Bacchus,"
"Angel," Madonnas, "David" and "Moses" -
Colossal labor on a gigantic scale focus.
A marvelous chisel that reached its apogees.

Ah, Michelangelo, profound old man,
A ctoiling sculptor, an unimaginable genius.
A lucky victim, a solitary talentmen,
A poor artist, more valuable than all treasures.
