The Only Way Out Is Through

BoxMyHeart

Its gracious,

That is get to wake up in my bed

Every morning,

The only draw back is the dread

In my head.

Trying to combat the thoughts

Running around my mind,

Pushing me to be grateful,

For the moments I find.

I know life isn't perfect

Or finite,

But its our light,

That makes us content.

I breathe in,

I breathe out,

I take each minute, hour, day

By the hand,

And lead in the direction,

I hope to stay.

I am hopeful,

I am curious,

I am afraid,

But I am willing,

To suffer on and suffer through,

Journey after journey,

To learn myself through and through,

Drawbacks may come,

Devastation my stay,

I will and I must, try to be present each day.

Great poem! I think the changing of the seasons brings the introspective thought that leads to poems like this. Keep it up 🙂
